Esfahan

Esfahan

Esfahan is a town located 340 kilometers south of the capital of Iran which was capital of the Persian Empire under the Safavid dynasty between fourteenth and  eighteenth century.
The city is well irrigated and drowned in greenery, which provides a particular contrast with the surrounding desert areas. The work of building Esfahan was undertaken with the Shah Abbas. Esfehan with its magnificent monuments built between the eleventh and nineteenth century is a showcase of extremely refined Islamic-Safavid art and architecture. The monuments of Esfahan are the jewels of the Middle East.
The most attractive historical places of Esfehan are  Naghshe-jahan  Square, Mosque of Imam, Ali ghapo Palace, Mosque of Sheikh Lutfallah, Khajo Bridge , Abassi Hotel, the Grand Bazaar of Isfahan,...
